Projects in search strategy and customer delivery

Projects connect an analytical question with a decision: what to prioritize, how to use a platform, where to test acquisition and how to organize seasonal demand.

Documented delivery

Opportunity. Decision. Customer delivery

Two actual engagements: a regional growth decision at Skyscanner and hands-on customer work with Simpplr through Quattr.

01 · In-house growth / Skyscanner

Find an opportunity the team can ship

Unmet seasonal flight demand, central template constraints and a regional WordPress route. My initiation and contribution sit beside subsequent team delivery and historical traffic estimates.

Repeatable working practice · Sanitized illustrative walkthrough

A customer delivery kit, from inputs to feedback

My customer delivery kit was a repeatable working practice combining opportunity analysis, implementation checks, customer context and follow-up. SQL-backed Snowflake analysis and Looker reporting supported data investigation; customer conversations, including Avoma records, added context. This walkthrough explains the practice through a sanitized fictional example.

  1. 01 · Inputs

    Evidence with provenance

Page and demand observations, SQL-backed data views and customer questions. Keep source, scope and observation window attached.

  2. 02 · Context / classification

    Give the data meaning

Relate audience, question, intent, page purpose and use case. Agree what belongs in the analysis before comparing results.

  3. 03 · Workflow

    Investigate and reconcile

Define the question, select the scope, inspect coverage and reconcile the interpretation with the customer.

  4. 04 · Reviewable output

    Make the next action clear

A scoped recommendation, supporting observations and a review checklist. Agree an implementation owner and follow-up.

  5. 05 · Feedback

    Learn beyond one account

Customer adoption questions inform the next review. Recurring friction becomes a reproducible scenario for product feedback.

Fictional example · Enterprise HR buyer content

A concrete review packet

Question
Which enterprise buyer questions should our corporate site answer?
Relationships
Enterprise HR buyer → implementation question → evaluation intent → implementation page → proposed review.
Scope
Corporate buyer-facing pages; exclude candidate preparation and customer-operated service pages.
Output
Review an implementation resource against buyer questions, with source types, coverage gaps, an agreed owner and next action.
Feedback
Ask the customer whether the recommendation is usable; record recurring scope-selection friction for product review.

Five ways the work becomes useful

Customer delivery through Simpplr

Additional acquisition channels at Skyscanner

As Google Flights changed the competitive environment, I participated in new-channel incubation and the content-distribution squad, including early Snapchat, Reddit and Quora advertising tests. The purpose was to evaluate additional sources of acquisition.

Seasonal search at Skyscanner

I initiated Black Friday and Cyber Monday work in 2016 using the flexible WordPress news platform. Editorial destinations and product handoffs complemented programmatic route, destination and airport search. Subsequent seasons expanded through team delivery.

Making opportunity visible at SapientNitro

I applied and scaled SapientNitro’s Content Topography approach to connect demand, content and audience signals in a form teams could use. That interest continued through organizational Tableau tools at Skyscanner and Snowflake-backed analysis with Looker at Quattr.

Content Topography: making search and social demand visible

I applied and scaled SapientNitro’s approach to help enterprise teams discuss content priorities. This is an original example from the agency’s archived SEO capabilities deck.

Original SapientNitro three-dimensional keyword landscape using allergy and nasal search terms. The vertical arrow reads Social Volume, and both horizontal arrows read Search Volume.
